The '''Sun Discs''' are minor [[artefacts]] used as [[keys]] in [[Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light]].

They are found in the level [[Temple Grounds]] and finding all three of them opens the entrance to the [[Spider Tomb]]. The Sun Discs appear by themselves to their receptacles at the base of the [[Spider Tomb]] after collecting, they do not need to be placed there by the player(s).

==Appearance==
Sun-shaped, shiny and flat object with decorative carvings. Most likely made of gold.

==Obtaining the Sun Discs==
The three Sun Discs are scattered around [[Temple Grounds]] and their locations are visible on the [[Level Map]]. However, obtaining the Sun Discs requires either solving a small puzzle or doing some acrobatics.

It's wise to head for the Sun Disc that's located "lowest" on the map first, because from the "highest" Sun Disc the player(s) can proceed straight to the "rightmost" Sun Disc. This is a fast way to obtain all the Sun Discs, especially handy when completing one of the [[Reward Challenges]].

===Single Player===
* "Lowest" Sun Disc
: The Sun Disc located lowest on the [[Level Map]] is sitting on a ledge high above. First cross the broken walkway to an area where the [[Giant Demon Lizard]] attacks. From there it's possbile to proceed to a white ledge. On the wall there's a [[Grapple Ring]], which hints that to cross the pit to the other side, Lara must [[Wall Run]] across it. When on the other side of the pit, throw [[Totec's Spear]] on the wall on the right. Use the [[Totec's Spear]] to reach the higher ledge with the Sun Disc.

* "Highest" Sun Disc
: The Sun Disc located highest on the [[Level Map]] is inside an alcove on a wall. As soon as Lara approaches the area, stone doors with bars emerge and seal the Sun Disc to the alcove. The goal is to place a [[Bombs (GoL)|bomb]] near the fist-shaped block on the right of the alcove, then go to stand on top of the [[pressure plate]] nearby. Detonating the bomb raises the fist-shaped block combined to standing on the plate opens the alcove. Quickly run to the Sun Disc to obtain it - don't worry, Lara will not be sealed into the alcove once you have the Sun Disc.

* "Rightmost" Sun Disc
: As the player walks the linear path from the "highest" Sun Disc, a tomb (not a [[Challenge Tomb]]) with glowing light is encountered. This tomb leads to the chamber with the "rightmost" Sun Disc. The "rightmost" Sun Disc's chamber can also be reached through the "main door" at on a top of a small hill located on the [[Level Map]]. At the "rightmost" Sun Disc's chamber the goal is to use the [[Rolling Ball]] to block the [[Dart Shooters]], making it possible to pull the [[Golden Handle]]. This raises the cage with the [[Dart Shooters]], making it possible to get the Sun Disc that was sealed inside of it.
